A first, honest read on your institution's integrity and governance environment — where you're strong, and where it's worth a closer look.
I-GRIP™ (Integrity & Governance Risk Indicator Pathway) is Integrity Watch Tanzania's structured way of helping an institution answer a question leaders often can't answer with confidence: "How solid is our integrity and governance environment, really — not on paper, but in practice?"
Its purpose is to identify, early, the areas within an institution that carry the highest risk of corruption and fraud — as well as the wider unethical behaviours that fall outside those two categories but still put the institution's stability and wellbeing at risk: harassment, favouritism, conflicts of interest, retaliation against whistleblowers, and similar conduct issues.
It looks at your institution across three angles that, together, determine whether integrity actually holds up under pressure:
Do the right policies, controls and oversight mechanisms exist to prevent corruption and fraud — and are they actually followed?
Do leaders model the values on paper, or does everyday practice quietly drift toward the unethical?
Do people trust the system enough to speak up before misconduct takes root and spreads?
Corruption and fraud rarely appear out of nowhere — they grow in the same conditions as other, quieter forms of misconduct: harassment left unaddressed, favouritism in hiring or procurement, conflicts of interest that go undeclared, or a culture where raising a concern feels unsafe. Left unchecked, all of these — corrupt, fraudulent, or simply unethical — erode the same thing: the institution's long-term stability and wellbeing.
I-GRIP™ exists to surface those risk areas before they become a crisis — so leadership can act while the fix is still cheap, quiet, and internal, rather than after regulators, donors, or the media get involved.
This is Stage 1 of I-GRIP™: a short, free, indicative assessment of 10 statements, taking about 5 minutes. It is not an audit, investigation, or formal certification — think of it as a health check, not a diagnosis.
After you respond, you'll get an indicative score, results across the three dimensions above, and signals for what's working well and what may deserve a closer look.
This personalizes your result and lets you download a report labelled for your institution.
The information you submit is used solely to generate the result of this assessment. It will not be used for any other purpose without your consent.
This QuickCheck is indicative only and is not a full audit, investigation, certification, or comprehensive institutional diagnosis.
Your QuickCheck gives you a starting point, not a full picture. Because it relies on 10 general statements, it can tell you where a gap may exist but not how deep it runs, who it affects, or what specifically to fix first.
Tell us where to send the proposal and next steps. An IWT team member will follow up within 2 business days.
This result is indicative, based on the responses you submitted, and is not a legal statement or formal audit finding.
